3.3 Lewin’s Force field analysis
Lewin also emphasised the importance of force field analysis. He argued that
managers should consider any change situation in terms of:
the factors encouraging and facilitating the change (the driving forces)
the factors that hinder change (the restraining forces).
Change will only be successful if the driving forces are larger
than the restraining forces.
