NON-CURRENT ASSETS HELD FOR SALE AND DISCONTINUED OPERATIONS

            Definitions – Appendix A

            • Cash-generating unit is the smallest identifiable group of assets

                generating cash inflows that are largely independent of the cash inflows
                from other assets or groups of assets. This definition is also used in IAS
                36.

            • Component of an entity is operations and cash flows that can be clearly
                distinguished, operationally and for financial reporting purposes, from
                the rest of the entity.

            • Costs to sell is the incremental costs directly attributable to the disposal
                of an asset (or disposal group), excluding finance costs and the income
                tax expense.

            • A current asset is an asset that satisfies any of the following criteria:

                    • it is expected to be realised in, or is intended for sale or consumption in, the entity's
                       normal operating cycle;
                    • it is held primarily for the purpose of being traded;
                    • it is expected to be realised within twelve months after the reporting period; or
                    • it is cash or a cash equivalent asset unless it is restricted from being exchanged or used to
                       settle a liability for at least twelve months after the reporting period.

                                                                                                                                       8
