Step acquisitions – summary
1.1 Step acquisitions
Not every acquisition in a group occurs in one purchase. Investments
can be obtained via piecemeal purchases known as step
acquisitions.
Two main types of step acquisition will impact the group financial statements:
(1) non-control to control
(2) control to control.
