Effective leadership





                           Leadership and culture




               It has been proposed that there are two types of leaders:


                    Transactional leaders tend to be more passive. They see their relationship with
                     their followers in terms of a trade.

                    Transformational leaders more proactive. They see their role as inspiring and
                     motivating others to work at levels beyond mere compliance.

               Only transformational leadership is said to be able to change team/organisational
               cultures and move them in a new direction

               Transformational leadership enhances the motivation, morale, and job performance
               of followers.

               The distinguishing feature of transformational leadership is the ability to bring about
               significant change.
