1350 – The Sacraments
                Grade: 11                                  Credit: 0.5
                Prerequisite: None
                This course is designed to help students understand
                the Sacraments as the gifts given by Christ through
                His Church in and through which they can encounter
                Jesus Christ today in a full and real way.  Students
                will examine each of the Sacraments in detail, but
                special emphasis will be placed on the Sacrament of
                the Eucharist.

                1360 –Morality
                Grade: 11                                Credit: 0.5
                Prerequisite: The Sacraments
                The purpose of this course is to help students under-
                stand that it is only through Jesus Christ that they
                can fully live out God’s plan for their lives.  This
                course of study will present the moral concepts and
                precepts that govern the lives of Christ’s disciples,
                studying in depth the Ten Commandments and the
                Beatitudes.


                1429 – History of the Catholic Church
                Grade: 12                                     Credit: 0.5
                Prerequisite: None
                This elective course is designed to supplement the
                sophomore catechesis on the Church.  It will supply
                students with a general knowledge of the Church’s
                history from Apostolic times to the present, noting for
                them both the Divine and human elements of the liv-
                ing Body of Christ throughout its 2000 years of histo-
                ry.

                1437 – Catholic Social Teaching
                Grade: 12                                     Credit: 0.5
                Prerequisite: None
                This elective course is a sequel to the junior level
                study of Morality.  It introduces students to the
                Church’s Social Teaching, showing them how Christ’s
                concern for others, especially for the poor and mar-
                ginalized, is being lived out today in the Church’s so-
                cial teaching and mission.

                1447 – Christian Vocations
                Grade: 12                                     Credit: 0.5
                Prerequisite: None
                This elective course emphasizes the universal call to
                holiness and enables students to compare and con-
                trast the various vocations of Christian life: married
                life, single life, priestly life, and consecrated
                life.  Through this study students are given the op-
                portunity to learn what it means to live life for the
                benefit of others, in a self-giving style of life that re-
                flects that of Jesus himself.
