רקע: יעקב שטיינהרדט (1887-1968), אמן יהודי מגרמניה. התפרסם כאחד האמנים החשובים היהודיים בארץ ובעולם. עלה ארצה עם עליית הנאצים לשלטון בשנת 1933 והשתקע בירושלים. בשנים 1953-1955
כיהן כמנהל בית הספר ‘בצלאל׳. מצב: מצוין, נייר איכותי. למעט כתם קטן אחד העובר בשולי 4-5 דפים.

Unique Speci cations: e letters are handwritten by Franziska Baruch, the pictures - original wooden engraving handiwork of Jacob Steinhardt. Reduced copy of Berlin publication 1921. e book was published, in the edition before us, in 250 copies.
Background: Jacob Steinhardt (1887-1968), Jewish artist from Germany. Became famous as one of the prominent Jewish artists in Israel and the world. Immigrated to Israel when the Nazis rose to power in 1933 and put down roots in Jerusalem. Principal of the ‘Bezalel׳ school from 1953-1955.
Condition: Excellent, quality paper. Except a small stain which runs through 4-5 leaves.

מאפיינים יחודיים: הגדה מבוקשת, עם כריכה מקורית. החלק העליון בעברית והתחתון באידיש באותיות צו״ר. התרגום וההערות מאת יואל בריל. תחריט עץ בשער, 23 תחריטי עץ נאים בדפי ההגדה. הציורים בהגדה זו הם מקוריים ולא הועתקו מהגדות קודמות, ראה יערי בהקדמתו לספר ביבליוגרפיה של הגדות פסח, ויצחק ריבקינד, הגדת פסח
באספקלריה של הדורות עמ׳ 7-6. כריכה קרטון מקורית מודפסת עם דוגמת משבצות של משחק שח-מט.

Unique Features: An in-demand haggadah, with the original binding. e top part is in Hebrew and the bottom in Yiddish in Tzena U׳Rena letters. e translation and comments are by Yoel Bril. Woodcut on the title page, 23 pleasant woodcuts throughout the Haggadah. e illustrations in this haggadah are original and were not copied from earlier haggadot, refer to Ya׳ari in his foreword to the book Bibliographia Shel Haggadot Pesach, and Yitzchak Rivkind, Haggdat Pesach B׳Aspeklaria Shel HaDorot pages 6-7.
Original cardboard binding, printed in a chess-board pattern.
Condition: Moderate- ne. Aging and use stains. Loose leaves. Original binding with damaged spine.
