Beit Shmuel on the Even HaEzer section of the Shulchan Aruch, with the text of the Shulchan Aruch. By Rabbi Shmuel son of Rabbi Ori Feivish of Vodislov. At the printing press of Rabbi Shabbtai Meshorer, Dyhernfurth, 1689. First edition. With handwritten glosses.

Unique Features: First edition of the well known work on the Even HaEzer edition of the Shulchan Aruch, which is now printed in every edition of the Shulchan Aruch. is is the ‘Mahadura Kama׳ of the book, and the author later printed an additional edition. On the last leaf is an apology from the one who brought it to print, Rabbi Shabbtai Meshorer of Prague, son of the martyr Rabbi Yosef, as is written on his tombstone. He is the author of Siftei Chachamim on Rashi׳s commentary and of the book Siftei Yesheinim.
Ownership signature on the title page and endpaper, comments in rabbinic handwriting in several places.
Condition: Fine. Blemishes on page 2. Aging stains. Ancient leather binding, slightly blemished.

מאפיינים יחודיים: מהדורה ראשונה של החיבור הנודע על שולחן ערוך אבן העזר, שנדפס כיום בכל מהדורות השולחן ערוך. זוהי ‘מהדורה קמא׳ של הספר ואחר כך הדפיס המחבר מהדורה נוספת. בדף האחרון התנצלות המביא לדפוס רבי שבתי משורר מפראג, בן הקדוש רבי יוסף זצ״ל הי״ד, כפי שנחרט על מצבתו. הוא מחבר שפתי חכמים על פירוש
רש״י וספר שפתי ישנים.
חתימת בעלים בשער ובדף הפורזץ, בכמה מקומות הערות בכתב יד רבני.
