Background: First edition of the famous book by Rabbi Aryeh Leib of Metz, author of the Sha׳agat Aryeh, which he published in his lifetime. Among the most fundamental books of novellae on these tractates.
Unique Features: Many ownership signatures, including rabbinic signatures, and inscriptions attesting that the book belonged to great rabbis. Signatures on the tile page, on the rst leaves, on the top of pages, and on the last leaf.

רקע: מהדורה ראשונה של תשובות מאת הרדב״ז [ר״מ – של״ג, 1480 – 1572], מגדולי הדורות שחי ופעל בתקופה שבין הראשונים לאחרונים. היה ממגורשי ספרד, הגיע לצפת ואחר כך לירושלים, נדד לפס ולקהיר, ושוב חזר לירושלים וצפת. כתב אלפי תשובות, ולפנינו התשובות הראשונות שנדפסו ממנו. כיום נחשב הספר שלפנינו כחלק ד של
התשובות.
מצב: טוב-טוב מאוד. שקום קל בפינת השער העליונה. כתמי זמן. כריכה פשוטה.

Speci cations: [6] 100 leaves, 28 cm.
Background: First edition of the responsa by the Ridbaz [1480- 1572], one of the greatest rabbis of all times who lived and was active in the period between the Rishonim and the Achronim. He was among the Spanish exiles, reaching Safed and later Jerusalem. He then migrated to Fez and Cairo, again returning to Jerusalem and Safed. He wrote thousands of responsa, and before us are the rst of his responsa to be printed. Today, the book before us is considered part 4 of the responsa.
Condition: Fine-very ne condition. Slight restoration in the upper corner of the title page. Aging stains. Simple binding.
