Unique Features: Halachic rulings written by Rabbi Yisrael Isserlin [1390-1460], one of the greatest adjudicators. e rulings in the book are quoted in all of the halachic books throughout the generations, usually referred to as Ry״i. e author is known as the author of the Terumat HaDeshen, and the book before us was also printed with the Terumat HaDeshen.
Condition: Very ne. Minimal aging stains. Slight blemish on the title page. Ancient white parchment binding.

בעותק שלפנינו חסר 3 דפים בתשובות שעסקות ביחס לנכרים, תשובות קצה-קצט, שמט-שנ. ידוע על עותקים רבים שבהם השחירו חלק מדפים אלו. גם בדף המפתחות בתשובה העוסקת ביין נסך יש קרע עם חסרון,
וכן בכמה מקומות בודדים בספר יש שפשופים מחמת חשש מהגויים.
רקע: מהדורה ראשונה של ספר השו״ת החשוב שחיבר רבי ישראל איסרלין [ק״ן-ר״כ] מגדולי הפוסקים, שמכונה בעל ה׳תרומת הדשן׳ על שם ספרו. בספר 354 תשובות כמנין דש״ן, התשובות מהספר מצוטטות
בכל ספרי הפוסקים לדורותיהם.

In the copy before us, the three leaves with responsa regarding relations with the gentiles are missing, responsa 195-199, 349-350. ere are many known copies with parts of these pages black- ened. Also on the index page, in the responsa that deals with wine of non-Jews, there is a tear with a lack, as well as isolated rubbed places due to concern about the gentiles.
Background: First edition of the important book of responsa by Rabbi Yisrael Isserlin (1490-1560), one of the greatest adjudi- cators, known as the ‘ Trumat HaDeshen׳ after the name of his book. ere are 354 responsa in the book, the numerical value of Deshen. Responsa from this work are quoted in all adjudicative literature throughout the generations.
Condition: Fine - very ne. Minimal aging stains. Restored margins on the title page. Cut o margins on the nal page. Pleasant ancient parchment binding.
