Background: e Five Books of the Torah with Targum Yonatan and Targum Yerushalmi, with a commentary on the two translations and on Targum Onkelos. e Torah was printed in tiny vowelized letters with cantillation, the translations in block letters without vowels, and the commentary is printed on the bottom part of the leaf. e author, who is known as ‘ e Leader of the Darshanim׳, prepared the book for print and received many approbations at the beginning of the printing in 1647 from the great rabbis of his generation, including Rabbi Yeshaya Horowitz - the Shelah, the Council of Four Lands and many more. e date of printing on the title page is 1671, and on the colophon on page 92: 1677. e author passed away during the printing, and the printer, Uri Feivish HaLevi of Amsterdam writes about the great e orts he exerted to print the book after the author׳s death. e book was proofread by Yekutiel Blitz, the famous proofreader from Amsterdam. e author wrote an elegy on the martyrs of the 1648 massacres.
Unique Features: Extraordinarily rare book.
Condition: Moderate- ne. Minimal reinforcements and tears without lack. Tear on the last leaf with damage to a number of words. Aging stains. New binding.

חמשה חומשי תורה עם תרגומים ועם פירוש ‘קטרת הסמים׳ על התרגומים על דרך הקבלה, מאת רבי מרדכי ב״ר נפתלי הירש מקוזמיר. אמשטרדם, תל״א [1671]. ספר נדיר שנדפס משך שנים רבות.
מפרט: צב; עז דף, 28 ס"מ. מהדורה יחידה.
רקע: חמשה חומשי תורה עם תרגום יונתן ותרגום ירושלמי, עם פירוש על שני התרגומים וכן על תרגום אונקלוס. התורה נדפסה באותיות זעירות מנוקדות עם טעמים, והתרגומים באותיות מרובעות ללא ניקוד, והפירוש נדפס בחלק הדף התחתון. המחבר המכונה ‘הראש שבדרשנים׳, הכין את חיבורו לדפוס וקיבל הסכמות רבות עם תחילת ההדפסה בשנת ת״ז, מגדולי דורו, בהם רבי ישעיה הורוויץ-השל״ה, ועד ארבע ארצות ועוד רבים. בשער הספר נכתב שנת תל״א, ובקולופון שבדף צב נכתב בשנת תל״ז, במהלך ההדפסה נפטר המחבר, והמדפיס אורי פייביש הלוי מאמשטרדם כותב על השתדלותו הרבה בהדפסת הספר לאחר פטירת המחבר. מגיה הספר הוא ר׳ יקותיאל בליץ, המגיה המפורסם מאמשטרדם. ידוע על קינה
