Large manuscript full of novellae and memories. [ Jerusalem], 17th century.
Speci cations: Approximately 240 pages. 15X20.5 cm. c. 1660- 1664. Clear Sephardic-oriental handwriting.
Unique Features: Collection of novellae on Talmudic topics, on the weekly Torah portions, on Rashi׳s commentary on the Torah, and on Biblical verses as studied in a yeshiva, apparently in the yeshiva of Rabbi Yaakov Chagiz in Jerusalem. e novellae were written, among other years, in 1660-1664. Among other things the debates between students in the yeshiva while learning are docu- mented and members of the yeshiva (the“Hesger״) are mentioned: Ezra Weisield, Shmuel Ashkenazi, Yisrael Binyamin Shmuel Garmizan, Moshe ibn Chaim, Maharam Guttah, and others.

Condition: Moderate. e leaves underwent professional res- toration and margin completions. Stains, some of the writing is faded.
