Unique Features: Several short handwritten glosses. Approbation by Rabbi Naftali HaCohen Katz, author of Semichat Chachamim, which was given to this edition. e entire title page is illustrated with many gures of angels and mythological cherubs.
Condition: Moderate. Stains, slight worming holes. New, simple binding.

מפרט: [1], קיח, קך-קכב דף, 33 ס״מ. מהדורה ראשונה. מאפיינים יחודיים: מעבר לשער נדפס שרטוט גדול של תבנית המזבח עם הסברים. בדפים האחרונים נדפס קונטרס בענין בית הבחירה. עותק
מושלם, עם דפי הטעויות וההשמטות בסוף. חותמות בעלים: חנה [?] בן הלוי טננבוים בהגאון רמ״צ זצ״ל, אולי רבי מאיר צבי טננבוים מבריגל, שהיה מחותנו של האדמו״ר בעל הדברי חיים מצאנז׳. בדף הפורזץ חתימות בעלים, אולי של צאצאי היעב״ץ. כל ספרי היעב״ץ אינם מצויים ומבוקשים מאד. רקע: לחם שמים הינו ספרו הראשון של היעב״ץ, מתוך עשרות חיבורים. כידוע, היעב"ץ הקים בית דפוס בביתו שבאלטונא, בה הדפיס כל ספריו. אולם הספר שלפנינו נדפס לפני שהמחבר הקים בית דפוסו. מצב: טוב. מעט פגמים קלים. כתמי זמן. כריכה חדשה.

Speci cations: [1], 118, 120-122 leaves, 33 cm. First edition. Unique Features: A large diagram of the alter with explanations is on the rear side of the title page. A collection on the topic of the Temple is on the last leaves. Complete copy, with the errata and omissions at the end.
Ownership stamps: Chona [?] son of HaLevi Tenenbaum son of the gaon R.M.Z, perhaps this is Rabbi Meir Zvi Tenenbaum of Brzesko who was the in-law of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. On the yleaf are ownership signatures, possibly of descendants of the Ya׳avetz.
All of the Ya׳avetz׳s books are uncommon and in high demand. Background: Lechem Shamayim is the Ya׳avetz׳s rst book, out of dozens of works. e Ya׳avetz established a printing press in his house in Altona in which he printed all of his books. However, the book before us was printed before the author established his printing press.
Condition: Fine. A few slight blemishes. Aging stains. New binding.
