Note

The other day I took a field trip with Stamford All Stars to The
Office of Islamic Affair Committee of Bangkok Metropolis.
The Social Bridge 4 Sitting on the vans looking out the glass window, it seemed
like I was passing somewhere else rather than the hustle and
bustle Bangkok I’ve always known. Lotus ponds after rice
paddies, signature Bangkok’s Seven/Eleven Convenience
stores after beautiful traditional teak houses hidden within
gardens, small long pavements after yellow wild flower bush-
Pet Public 13 es. That’s crazy! I said to myself, and yet that was a part of
beloved Bangkok I would have never had the opportunity to
visit if I didn’t register to be on that field trip.

What did you imagine your university would be like? For
me, going on a field trip to learn about Muslim Halal food is
Freshman Camp Holy Shrimp 6 definitely something I would never have thought of, or have
a spontaneous open- debate session right on the vans with
other students, or learn about a small part of Russia where
one of the Stamford fellows comes from. Voila! Welcome to
The Meg 14 Stamford! It does not matter how you have drawn your uni-
versity experience picture—you will likely be amazed by how
fast and exciting everything is happening here, on the campus
or in the city of Bangkok as the whole.

I would love to think about this very first Stamford Maga-
Stamford Events 8 zine Edition is an open diary full of such “aha!” moments:
those warm feelings we have, hiding ourselves in a cozy café
downtown or getting inspired by a movie we just watched.
Those moments we share with our Communication Art’s
friends on a field trip in Japan. Those moments, we got over
Dusit Zoo 16 our culture shock as foreigners to experience truly Bangkok
and feel grateful. And those moments we realized every sin-
gle day we have in Stamford could bring us something new
and mind-blowing.

The Urban Witch 10 All in one, we will keep you updated with the exciting events
and activities in the campus that you simple cannot miss; we
will bring you in-depth feature interview with a magician-
café owner who will convince you that passion can create
a great business opportunity. Finishing the first edition of
Stamford Magazine is an “aha” moment itself for us, that each
