PERMANENT SANCTUARY PLANS
Last fall, All Saints’ leadership began exploratory conversations regarding the feasibility of proceeding with Phase II of our building project which includes a permanent sanctuary, additional classroom space, and additional parking space.
The encouraging feedback we received from these conversations is one of the main reasons we believe God may have us pursue the building of a sanctuary in the near future. However, 2019 will not be the year we embark on a capital campaign to fund such a project. Our current General Fund budget deficit makes it a precarious time for our congregation to consider taking on a
$15 million challenge. We look forward to seeing where God brings us in 2020 – perhaps to a place of financial sustainability and growth that would support a renewed conversation about launching a capital campaign in the near future.
SPIRITUAL FORMATION allsaintsaustin.org/formation The church is the people of God who are growing up in every way into Christ. This formation is the work of the Holy Spirit and is rooted in and shaped by the Scriptures. Formation necessarily occurs in the church community as the Word of God is heard, understood, applied, and lived together. Formation also requires tools — tools that God uses to mold and shape us into a community and individuals whose lives bring glory to Him. All Saints has adopted ten practices by which we individually and collectively “work out our own salvation” (Phil. 2:12) that God the Father might “conform us to the image of his Son” (Rom. 8:29):
1. Daily Office
2. Spiritual Direction 3. Small Groups
4. Study
5. Sabbath
6. Retreat
7. Tithing & Sacrifical Giving 8. Fasting and Moderation 9. Hospitality
10. Service
