Thank you to everyone who did water safety at both training and carnivals and a special mention to 3 guys who did IRB Shifts at State and Aussies for
us: Bain Swanson, Ben Hale & Karl Gottschalk, we wouldn’t have been able to race without you!
To our unsung heroes, our club officials and Tara Lees who organises everyone! Thank you for your sacrifice and effort on race day. This certainly isn’t an easy job, but hopefully when you see happy and polite Sunshine caps cross the line, it’s worth it.

Thank you to all the parents who have trusted the coaching team with your kids and who’ve helped to make Sunshine the place that it is.
I want to acknowledge the Management Committee and especially Chris Price for their confidence and support of the surf sports program. Chris does so much hard work behind the scenes and never seeks out any recognition at all! He’s an asset to the club and we are lucky to have had him involved.
Finally, to all of the competitors – thank you for allowing us to help you chase your dreams, it truly is your journey and I am grateful to be part of it.
I am proud to have learnt, grown, succeeded and failed alongside all of you this Summer. It wasn’t easy, but that’s what makes it special.
And even more importantly, that’s what makes it all worth it.
