Last weeks match report

Recently it feels like league games have been few and

far between for our Brook boys. This is mainly due to
taking part in the annual Haresfinch Fesitval and
hosting our very own festival too.

Our last home game was against Shevington Sharks
who came as a determined bunch of Wiganers ready to
bash a few rival St Heleners. But I can say that the
brook boys stuck to their guns and defended like trojans

and were able to run in 13 tries on what was a nice, dry
Sunday morning.

For our last league fixture we travelled to our friends at
Wigan St Cuthberts and in comparison the game was
played in terribly wet and windy conditions. Down on

personnel with 5 lads missing the Brook boys found
themselves in a bit of an arm wrestle.

The driving rain and swirling wind made open play and
ball handling a bit of a tough task with both team
relying on a lot of one up strong running to gain yards.
It was certainly a tough 40 mins of our boys but they
stuck with it notching up another nine tries against a

very robust Wigan St Cuthberts outfit.
