CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE
ONCE I was with Baba in Bombay when he was speaking to a group of educators, lawyers, scientists and scholars. The talk was given in the auditorium of a building called the Bhartya Vidya Bhavan. Everyone looked disciplined and educated once they got inside the front door. But passing through that door was a different matter. It was a very small door and everyone wanted to get through it at once, especially since someone was stationed there, stopping some from entering. So the milling and shoving reminded me of some of the grim play on the front line in a San Diego Charger football game. But once everyone got through the door it was peaceful. We all waited with high expectation.
After a while Baba appeared on stage. All eyes were riveted to him as he moved slowly and gracefully to center stage and then sat on the carpet in a peaceful posture. Gently leaning to his left and resting on an extended arm, he seemed in another dimension, appearing in ecstasy and filling the room with bliss. After a short while he got up
