Sai Baba has come to save us from ourselves. Without the presence of divinity, truly, all would be lost! Baba’s divine principles can help our children develop the confidence to live without fear and the courage to be good despite relentless peer pressure. Parents need to be especially sensitive to these pressures and help children listen to their hearts while maintaining respect for themselves and others.
How do we create a haven where children feel safe and supported? When our daughters were young, we oen walked with them to a nearby athletic field, dropped down on the cool grass, and gazed up at the vast blue sky. We talked about problems in daily life, about life’s complexities and mysteries, and about God’s immense love expressed in the beauty of nature and in our love for one another. We remembered and echoed Sai Baba’s words, “God is always within, around, above, and below us, guiding and protecting us.” These family talks infused us with courage and faith.
Sai Baba offers a precious gi. He reveals that God permeates all creation, that human life is sacred, and that we must become like courageous lions to face life’s challenges and realize our divinity. When our daughters le for school in the morning, I oen said, “Remember, you’re Atmaswarupa” (embodiments of God). We smiled as I spoke because we barely understood the concept. However, Sai Baba had melted our hearts with sweet love and informed us that this love is divinity within us.
You should know that you are born to achieve great and stupendous tasks in life. You are the children of God, heroes in action, great soldiers in the age of Kali, full of compassion and divine love, and resolved to make divinity resound with success in the world. (SSB)
