myself. I wrote, ‘Swami, take everything, all my money, my position, my strength, every breath. I want nothing of my own. I want only to give everything to you.’ It was then that Swami passed by and took my note. This note is the first he has taken from me in a year, because now I’m ready to offer everything to him.”
Being around Swami and seeing that the external world is impermanent prompts us to offer our life to God so we can merge in His love. The path of surrendering to divine love is difficult but, if we take it, and empty ourselves of ego, we experience the great peace of God’s protection and love—and even more, our oneness with Him.
You can lay claim to being a devotee
Only when you have placed yourself in my hands Fully and completely without any trace of ego.
Then you can enjoy the bliss
Through the experience that the Avatar confers. (SSB)
