 righteousness, we can enjoy playing the game of life, which brings us to the ultimate in expansiveness: to the realization that all religions (centered in values and love of God) are one, all mankind is one, and With Love, Man Is God! True openness and expansion come from following a moral path that takes us, through self-restraint and control, to freedom.
Morality in Therapy
Most therapists would say that they pay attention to morality and that they practice an ethical therapy. The question is, “At what level of importance and emphasis?” Swami tells us that love expressed through values is who we are, our soul, our real self. There is nothing more important!
Swami is bringing a new emphasis to moral living, which makes a real impact on the way I practice saichiatry. Since being within Swami’s sphere of influence, I treat the subject of values and right action much differently. Even when it seems that experimentation and expression of biological and social impulses are appropriate in the treatment, I am sensitive to keep a steady vigil for that gray zone in which morality could be undermined.
