Mark is a Partner in our Doha office leading
Assurance Practice of Pricewaterhousecoopers.
He works with a variety of clients in Qatar. Mark is a
member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England & Wales. Prior to moving to Qatar in 2013,

Mr. Hatem ElSafty is the practice leader of
Governance Risk & Internal Controls (GRIC) service
line within Mazars GCC, with more than 20 years’
international experience in Corporate Governance,
Risk Management, Internal Audit, IT Cybersecurity,
and Program Assurance, starting with (E&Y and
PwC) followed by more than 8 years in Oil and Gas
industry working for BP, London, UK, and Qatar
gas in Doha, Qatar.

Audit Executives Forum. Hatem is the chairman of
Institute of Risk Management Chapter to conduct
the regular seminars, workshops, risk awareness
across different industries as well as leading

Hatem is an enthused active sportsman, he was the
captain of the Egyptian National diving team (2000-
2003) and currently the president of TriClub Doha
(the largest triathlon club in Qatar with more than
500 active members), he is the elected-president
for the second consecutive term, leading the club
to its exponential growth.
