NON TECHNICAL SESSION
HAMPTA PASS TREK
Date: 10Th August To 15Th August 2019
The Doha Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in association with Indian Sports
Centre undertook a 6 day trek to Hampta Pass. Hampta Pass is located on the Pir Panjal range of Himalayas
and at 14035 feet is one of the most dramatic and beautiful Crossover Monsoon Treks in the Himalayas from
Manali to Spiti Valley.
The 6 day trek started from Manali on 10th August and culminated on the 15th of August. The summit climb
at 14035 feet was accomplished on Day 4 of trek on 13th August. The team members enthusiastically held
the Indian and Qatari flags on the summit to mark the Qatar India 2019 year of Culture.
As part of their CSR activity, the DCICAI also conducted ‘Mountain Cleaning” activity by collecting trash and
debris left over in association with Green Trails of India Hikes. The team also visited the ICAI Head Office in
New Delhi during their onward Journey.
