Luvberry Farm is the spot
for strawberry picking. Head
out on a Saturday or Sunday
morning to enjoy the fresh, juicy
strawberries you can hand-pick
and enjoy right there. Or you can
take home your bounty to enjoy
White Ridge Farm is a great
spot to visit if you love animals.
There are lots of friendly llamas,
alpacas, goats, pigs, horses
and even a camel and donkey
to pet and hand-feed. Bring the
grandkids for a great day out.
Lyell Deer Sanctuary in Mount
Samson opens its doors every
weekend so you can get up
close with a small herd of
rescued deer. Perfect for nature
lovers, this peaceful hideaway
also offers idyllic picnic facilities. Samford for a Butterscotch Brew
Bribie Island Butterfly House is
home to more than 1,000 delicate
and colourful butterflies. See
these unique creatures up close
and whilst you're there, why not
explore the many wonders of
Bribie Island. There are popular
boating and fishing areas in
Pumicestone Passage, excellent
birdwatching, low-key bush
camping spots and beautiful
walks amongst spring wildflowers.
For indoor fun
Sunny’s Rooftop Bar offers
spectacular 180-degree views
of Moreton Bay. With live music
every weekend, this bar is perfect
for a sundowner with friends.
The Store of Requirement is
Moreton Bay’s answer to Diagon
Alley. Visit this magical store in
and Australia’s largest range of
official Harry Potter merch.
For the water lovers
Lake Samsonvale is the perfect
spot for a picnic. Pack your
supplies and head over with
the grandkids to enjoy a day of
outdoor activities, from the water
to the playgrounds. Paddle craft
is available for hire seven days
a week giving you the choice of
a canoe, kayak, leisurely row or
sail. If you fancy a fish, this is also
the perfect spot to throw out a
line and give the youngsters the
chance to catch their first fish.
Bribie Island Gondola is a little
piece of Venice in Queensland.
Enjoy the panoramic views out
to the Glasshouse Mountains
and travel through the pristine
waters, enjoying great food,
beautiful sunsets and – if you’re
lucky – the occasional dugong,
turtle or dolphin.
For the foodies
Bite Markets is a food lover’s
dream. Located in North Harbour,
the markets serve up everything
from fresh oysters and dumplings
to funnel cakes and gelato.
Sift Café in Scarborough is a
great spot to grab a bite before
hiring electric bikes to explore
the surrounding waterfront. Hit
the 13km pathway that stretches
from the Ted Smout Memorial
Bridge at the southern end of the
Peninsula all the way to Jamieson
Park in the north.
