MY LOCKDOWN EXPERIENCE
We all know that COVID-19 pandemic is going on and it is very serious. Now I would like to
share my experience in this lockdown. Initially when lockdown was announced and exams
were cancelled, I was very happy that I could go to 7th standard without writing any exam.
First when lockdown was announced for 21 days, I thought that how can a working person
stay at home without going for any work. At the time of lockdown my grandparents visited
our house. My 21 days of lockdown spent great. I played games like Carrom, Chess and the
traditional “Chowkabara” and “Alaguli Mane” with my family members. I used to wake up
late, eating and sleeping whenever I wished. Basically, I chilled all the day and night long.
After 21 days of lockdown, the lockdown was announced again and again and again and it
never stopped. Then, I felt that staying in a place for a long time was enough to make you
bored, in fact, very bored. I used to help my mother in cooking, exercised every day and also
watered the plants.
June was the month in which we had some writing to do. We started to get some assignments
which were really needed to me so that I could cure my boredom.
It has been over 9 months since I have visited school and I miss the playground, the labs, and
the library. Most I importantly, I missed my friend s and teachers but what I missed the most
was the lunch in the afternoon and mainly the mouth-watering rassam which I loved very
much.
After online classes started, I was really happy that I could do something which is really helpful
for me. Though online classes are here, I want the old normal classes in which I can look at
my teachers and friends in person.
“THE ONLY THING I PRAY TO GOD IS THAT EVERYTHING SHOULD GO BACK
TO NORMAL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.”
