Nutty T [UK] - Hard Dance & Hard Style
MUSIC REVIEWS
B-Front - Face The Truth (Remixes) [Fusion] - Zone Recommended Tune - 9/10
Fusion is by far one of the most renowned label in the Netherlands and they deliver again with not one but two
absolutely astounding remixes. I am often sceptical when it comes to remixing such classic tunes as this one but these remixes came as a pleasent surprise to my ears. The first comes from Dutch duo Deluzion, which combines the original snarling acid from the original but adds a twist and makes the track flow perfectly. The break keeps the atmospheric ambience that made the original so good but changes the melody slightly to give it their own touch, which then hits in with an epic climax.
The second remix comes courtesy of Inceptum, who is one of my favourite young talents on the Hardstyle scene right now.
The track starts out with some nice atmospheric sounds and shuffling percussion and kicks in with an almighty mid intro that just blows your mind. The track drops and takes on a different approach from the original which brings a breath of fresh air to the track. Hats off for these two remixes, both are great tracks but the Deluzion Remix just tops it for me.

Funkomaticz & Lip DJ - Running Free [Hard Music Records] - Zone Top Tune - 10/10
Austrian born label Hard Music Records bring us a new track from Funkomaticz & Lip DJ, entitled Running Free.
The emotion in this track is unbelievable from start to finish. Which is reminiscent of the earlier styles of Noisecontrollers.
It starts with the kicks building up with some really nice panned sound fx that just fill the track with a really great drive from the offset. The track then proceeds to drop into an atmospheric array of pads and filtered saws, accompanied by a vocal which is absolutely amazing and really adds to the feeling of the track. The melody and synth are really out of this world and it just blends perfect in the climax. Then you are treated to a second mini break which brings in some nice unique screech noises combined with the melody, then ends with an awesome screechfest. This is definitely two acts I will be keeping an eye on.

Vortex & Francesco Zeta - Last Night [Loverloud] - Zone Rating - 7/10
The two Italian legends Vortex and Francesco Zeta team up for this pounding track on Loverloud.
The track starts with a big kick and a crunchy reverse bass, with some nice stabby screeches.
It then proceeds to drop with the ever familiar 'Last Night A DJ Saved My Life' vocal, with some mad glitchy filtering.
The track then seems to go in a different direction while still keeping the energy flowing bringing back the reverse bass and some off beat squelchy screeches. The breakdown hits you with a filtered saw melody that reminds you of No Good (Start The Dance) and hits back in back in with that awesome crunchy bass and some
mental filtering action, which works to great effect.
All in all - a real, decent Hardstyle stomper.

Main Concern - End Of Days [Spoontech] - Zone Rating - 7/10
This track comes from Australian label Spoontech Records.
Main Concern are known for their rough edged style and this is no exception, the track entitled 'End Of Days' hits you with an array of screaming synths, gritty snares and a gated kick that just sounds like Cerberus trying to break down the gates of hell.
It starts off filtering with some great distortion and some complimentary gritty sounds thrown in. It then ends up dropping in a big vocal and detuned synths.
The melody in the break builds up to a barrage of kicks and off beat screeches which can only be described as an undestructable industrial Hardstyle climax.
This will be Main Concern's last release before the duo go their separate ways and my god, they are going to be terribly missed.

Expulze - Twenty What? [NTraxx Black] - Zone Rating - 7/10
Expulze comes from Italy with this banging Hardstyle romp, that is out now on NTraxx Black.
The track starts with a filtered kick and some awesome reverberated snares, combined with a throbbing reverse bass and vocal chops.
It proceeds to keep you guessing bringing in some new stabby synths and marching snare drums.
It then breaks down and goes in a whole new direction with some early influenced style screeches, but sustaining that drive to build to an almighty climax with a more aggressive kick. To finish things off we are treated to some more of that nice throbbing reverse
