We couldn’t possibly talk Techno and not include the master himself Adam Beyer ! At the helm of Adam Beyer’s career stands a brand that has taken techno to truly global heights. Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2016, Drumcode’s full-hearted philosophy of releasing music always with the DJ in mind has allowed the label to expand into an all-encompassing brand, one now heralded as much as a musical identity as it is an attitude among the underground community. Providing a rare opportunity for Beyer to simultaneously renew what is current whilst looking to the next generation of talents, it’s expansion into branded nights across the globe has made this one of the best travelled brands in modern techno, with its branded radio show taking further flight with broadcasts across more than 53 different countries. Its sound has been imitated, it’s durability tested by the changing tides of the music industry, but Drumcode’s ongoing peak is a testament to a brand that has dared to take the long way around in the name of becoming a sustainable and consistent musical powerhouse. Behind the decks, there are many different forces to be experienced from Beyer. Be it an international festival headline spot or a more intimate club show, his solo sets adapt and evolve to fit the various moods of his globetrotting tour schedule. Alongside partner Ida Engberg, looser afterhours sets with the ability to focus on songs have become a favourite across the international club circuit. Paired alongside his ability to take the stage with numerous members of the global techno community, Adam Beyer’s live persona truly knows no limits, to illustrate this point just take a listen to him mixing things up here at Nextech Festival ! Blue Amazon - A name some will never forget ! With a string of unforgettable tunes back in the 90’s and HUGE Global success it’s no shock that Blue Amazon is still going strong today and with his embrace firmly locked around the Techno goddess it will soon become obvious
why ! With a number of classic tracks including “No Other Love” and “The Javelin Album”, remixes for the likes of Sasha, Skunk Anansie, New Order, Madonna and more recently recently new ep "Teaser EP" on Pro B Tech Records , a collaboration with Alex Flatner and Robert Owens on Kling Klong Records (Germany), - Join In Love Ep & unite remixes on se-lek- Music, and an abundance of remixes. His DJ style is very progressive in technical terms as he merges Techno, Progressive , Tech house in his own unique way. He’s Djed worldwide almost great artist such as Sasha, Digweed, Paul van dyk ,Oliver Lieb, Arjun Vagale, Darren Emerson , Dave Seaman to mention a few. Venues have included Ministry Of Sound (Uk), Bedrock (UK) , Renaissance (UK), Chinese Laundry (Sydney), Paradiso (Amsterdam), The Warehouse (Cologne Germany) , Fire & Ice ( Mumbai India) and many more. Gayle San - Sept 2017 Mix
Gayle's first steps into the London clubs were via DJing at record company parties, various one-off guest spots and fashion shows. These slots soon led to Gayle being made resident at 'Reach for the Sky' at London's Limelight club, where she played alongside global DJs which Gayle describes as "the steepest learning curve possible". Having honed her DJing skills and broadened her understanding of music, Gayle began to experiment with the harder side of dance music, particularly the lesser known techno sounds coming into Britain from Europe and the US of that time. Her chance to pioneer this music in England came when Gayle became resident at Universe's legendary Final Frontier club, at Club U.K. in south London, which then moved on to become Universe Voyager at their new club, the Complex in north London,and she was also resident at all the Tribal Gatherings In regards to the massive competition of the worlds DJs,and to be the only female dj in the top ten, it was an honour of her hard work in the last years. DJing has naturally led to various studio work and starting her own label Equator. Gayle has developed a sound that takes the intelligent beats of the underground, funky/hard/groove techno sound mixed with her very own style.Gayle loves producing on her own but also enjoys collaborations with other producers to absorb outside creativity. She has released on numerous labels throughout europe . Gayle has already been called the best female techno legend and she is not ready to hang up her headphones just yet.
