From a very early age in Palma de Mallorca in the 80’s Eduard began his journey through the world of electronic music. Hard Dance, House, Progressive, and Techno influenced this rapidly growing and passionate
DJ / Producer that enabled him to discover his sound. His drive and forceful pursuit of his goals gleaned him several residences in many of the most important clubs such as Pacha Mallorca, BCM, Titos, and several other big clubs on the Spanish mainland and in Barcelona. He has performed alongside artists such as Ben Sims, Oscar Muler together artists DC10 Ibiza.
During this time he decided he wanted to produce his own style of banging tracks and threw himself into producing his own unique vibe, which has continued to evolve beyond the boundaries into Mallorca style Techno, with some of his own tracks being remixed by Dani Sbert. He has also received interest from Renesanz Records - Gastspiel Records - Naked Lunch - Bully Beatz - Punch Underground - End Records - UFO Recordings, and Redbox Records among others. He now currently owns his own record label called End
Records which has been characterized by an almost perfect, dynamic melodic ever present technically evolved style. You can hear Eduard’s live sets every week on Club FM Mallorca in his a 2- hour program called Extreme Records dedicated to Techno music. His musical productions are for sale in compilations by Stefano Noferini, Len Faki, Kardinal, Balthazar & JackRock, Mikael Jonasson, Dani Sbert among others.
So how did it all start, what attracted you to the Dance music scene, and in particular techno?
When I was younger I was on holidays at a summer camp in Mallorca and heard some of the older guys playing minimal Techno in the same room we were in, music I had never heard, it was then that I realized that I really liked electronic music. Gradually as the years went by I realized that the more forceful sound of Techno, was what represented me.
Which one of your productions one stands out the most and why?
My latest productions at the moment as the style and personality are more marked by my progress in learning production. Perhaps what stands out most are the most forceful and closed and dark themes that I do.
Who inspires you in the studio?
It is difficult to decide on someone. I would like to learn from Spektre, Jay Lumen, Axel Karakasis or Gabriel D'or & Bordoy among some of my personal list. But I have the luck on my island Mallorca to have a friend and important producer called Dani Sbert who is currently working with the best labels dedicated to Techno and has travelled the world to the best clubs. He is a good friend who helps me and supports me and are always together plotting my career and I am pleased I have him with me. In the future I would like to work with Skober with my only goal to make people dance and enjoy my music to be heard and respected.
What audio equipment do you use to create your sound?
My working tools are PC - Ableton Live 9 - KRK Rokit 8 speakers - midi keyboard good external sound card and little else. Today we really only need to create new sounds with a little ingenuity and know-how. But as any producer you always want to have a Roland.
What are your thoughts on Analogue verses digital?
By quality I prefer Digital, but keep in mind that there are still many people nostalgic that love Amalog. If the DJ was born with the Amalog sound they probably will remain so. A DJ can do a performance with pc and midi controller and nothing else. But a DJ needs to know their roots and has to know how to use two turntables and vinyl know how to count the times without a screen with a graphical front. The analogue sound has that magic that digital sound cannot get. But then the Digital has much comfort.
Did Techno loose its way? How do you see the Techno scene now?
Techno always has its loyal audience who know what they want and what they like despite current fads. But with artists today who do not want to name it have created a rare style with repetitive simplistic sounds. They have used those sounds that are catchy and they get into the mind is it house, progressive, or Techno? Techno is as respectable as House and are two styles of music that have always been and will always be trending thanks to the people who know appreciate it.
What are your plans for the future?
My future plans are to launch once my label called Far Records as I want to work with other artists. My last contract was signed with the Toneman label, a label that works with artists like Chris Liebing. Also with Gastspiel Records appearing on compilations by Stefano Noferini etc. I have future collaboration’s lined in Mallorca, Ibiza and Barcelona but until we close a deal cannot say more.
