SQNCR69 - '08092019' [Micro.Fon 072]
OK so I'm back with some more reviews, guys and girls, it's certainly strange times we are all currently in, I hope everyone is keeping safe and well. Right I'm going to start with this Monster! I used to cain Micro.Fon vinyl years ago with me Filthy compadre Alex Selley, they always released quality tunage. Now I have absolutely no idea who SQNCR69 is. The info sheet is also vague (4 big techno tunes by newcomer SQNCR69!) But as soon as i put this on i knew i was going to love it. '172' is stupidly rough and raw Techno, with an added kick for good measure and the pitch on the dark bass synth modulated constantly, so it sounds like the track is speeding up and up until it reaches a crescendo at the end. This gets right inside your head. Quality. '310919' is next and it's another hypnotic track of naughtiness, with a warping great bass synth and heavy tribal percussion loops getting you 'Locked in' the groove (How apt in these current times) '080919' is the 3rd original and this is evil. Clanking Industrial sounds and a squelchy Synth make me want to say fuck the rules, I'm getting a fat rig, finding a warehouse and inviting all my friends. But i wont because im a good boy and we need to protect the NHS ;-) Label boss Dj Emerson (who did a podcast for us at Filth a fair few years ago, damn i must dig that out) supplies the remix for '080919' and it's a beast! Rolling deep bubbly acidic bass line, offbeat jacking claps, and an epic breakdown. This is a wicked release! You must play this loud!

TOP TUNE //
Grindvik & Pfirter - ‘Mover / Neu' [Stockholm LTD 055]
Legendary Swede Par teams up with Pfirter once again, this time on his own Stockholm LTD imprint. 'Mover' is a beautiful stripped back groover with delayed synth chimes throughout and subtle changes. All rather hypnotic. For me though, it's all about 'Neu' Its chunky and clanking tribal rhythms grab you by the balls right from the off in this 'story of a night that will remain a legend of Buenos Aires clubbing' (So the blurb states) Well i have no idea what it's saying as it's in Argentinian Spanish, but I don't care, this track is ace and reminds of those great Hardcell & Grindvik Drumcode records from years ago. Quality stuff! https://www.traxsource.com/title/1337946/mover-neu
Bomb Squad / OB1 - ‘Bang It / Reflection' [HardCoded 006]
Following on from myself and Kev's 'Naked Van Mirk' release last time out, Olly Berry's excellent Hardcoded label return with 4 more tracks of analogue goodness! Bomb Squad which is a new colab between OB1 and 'Aus Lander' (Paul Elemental) give us 'Bang It' Which is a heavy and grinding warehouse cut of the highest calibre, Which builds up to some dark squelchy acid from the break. Taro records main man Aaron Udy supplies the remix here and in typical Taro fashion its a dark moody rework, heavy as you like with some added breakbeats. OB1 flies solo for track 3 with 'Reflection' which is a monster broken beat Techno track reminiscent to his 'Broken' track he released on my Filth Infatuated label a couple of years back. I love it when Olly makes techno like this and this is my favourite of the 4. Absolute Dynamite! Lastly on remix duties is Tassid, absolutely love Jamie's productions, full of crazy synth work and extra energy! Huge release this! https://hardcoded.bandcamp.com/album/bang-it-reflection

The Advent - 'Life Cycles' [Cultivated Electronics 035]
The legendary 'The Advent' (aka Cisco Ferreira) supplies Sync 24's ace Cultivated Electronics label with his first full-length Electro album in 17 years and it's a beauty! Cisco blends the old with the new here and shows us how to do it properly, 9 Exquisite Electro cuts here also including unreleased gems from the ë90s. We have old-school Electro funk with ëThis Is Notí The Acidic grooves of 'Panda' Some Ghetto vibes with 'Stasis V2' and even a live cut dropped in there 'Live@Motor 1998' (Clues in the title!) My favourites have to be 'Electrical Sounds' (Which i dropped on my Fnoob show last month) which is an evil looping and hypnotic affair with crazy noises and an ace warping bass throughout, title track 'Music Is Life' with it's eerie atmospherics and evolving synthwork and 'Vast' which has an old school 80's synth melody over the top of some rather dark classic 808 work. Love it! Essential purchase this for Electro lovers! https://www.deejay.de/The_Advent_Life_Cycles_2x12_CE035LP_Vinyl__950107
Kaiser - ‘Assault' [R]3volution 003]
Fresh from releases on Soma, Planet Rhythm and his own KSR imprint, Kaiser (Gianluca Caiati) supplies [R]3volutionwith 2 excellent originals here. 'East Nature' is a rather stripped back groove laden offering, but for me it's all about title track 'Assault' Im becoming a big fan of Kaiser and you can hear why here. uncompromising tough hypnotic Techno at its finest. The kind that makes you have to pay a visit to a chiropractor with all the spine bending crazy dancing you find yourself doing whilst listening to this! Label owner Michele Mausi supplies a darker remix of East Nature, whilst we're treated to a thumping harder remix of Assault by MDMP. Both takes on Assault will be getting rinsed by me. Heavy stuff!
