Roger Da' Silva – In my heart E.P. [Simma Black]
Since he began DJ'ing in 1993, Roger Da’Silva has spent the last 3 decades building a reputation as one of the undergrounds top house djs. Recently, in the last few years, he has moved into production. This has seen a string of releases on Zulu, Let there be house, Redisco and Whore House. Now he comes to Simma Black with his new EP. Kicking things off with title track “In my heart” sitting perfectly between straight up house and tech house. The piano riff, teased in the first half, perfectly with the vocal, and when combined with the organ stabs, the track has stacks of attitude. On the flipside “Bring it close to me” is more of the same house/tech crossover. With shuffling hats and a repeating detuned vocal combining with another infectious piano riff, its full of energy. Both tracks have a similar feel, and are a showcase for Da’Silva’s fantastic production. This is an EP destined for the summer, and smiles on the dancefloor.

Various Artists - Jackers Delight Vol 3
[UKR 180]
HOUSE
Techno
Roman Zawodny's hugely consistent UKR are back with another monster Various artist EP titled 'Jackers Delight' .There are too many tracks to fit in this review (14) But ill pick a few of my favourites.. Dj D ReDD gives us 'Hulu' a dark clanking beauty with chopped up vocals, ace old school stabs and dark subtle acid. The king of Jacking wonkiness Dj Ze MigL supplies 'Street Monstah' with an awesome squelchy synth which eveloves into utter darkness, accompanied by some ace ghetto vocals. In the words of Del Boy this track' Has more bounce than Zebedee!' Dope stuff. More squelchy jackiness is served up from UK legend Jerome Hill, 'Those Ole DMs' is packed full of crazy grooves and with some more naughty 'beat it from the back' ghetto vocals this track is a sure-fire hit! Welsh hero Jon Connor's track 'The Buzzard' is a monster hard techno track with an almighty dark and evil bass line. Kareem Smith's 'Uncle WTMF' chops up the classic 'Work that Mother Fucker' vocal in his excellent driving loopy affair. There's also some amazing Acid from the legendary Microdot with 'Sugar Cubes' plus other tracks from Alavux, Chance McDermott, DJ Hansz, Gabriel Palomo, Josh Moseley & Mark Therblig, King Les himself - Lester Fitzpatrick, RRKS & Uk based production meastro Saint Cole and these are all worthy of your attention! Another mighty fine UKR release here!
