attorney to submit the paperwork and attend any hearings. That can be costly.

3) There’s also additional cost and paperwork with a Corporation
Corporations can be expensive. About $200 to $1,000 a year, and even more to set it up.
Plus you have additional paperwork and tax filings. For me, I don’t want additional costs

and paperwork if I think it really isn’t going to help me, and actually might hinder me. I
know there may be tax advantages that I don’t understand. But frankly I don’t care. I don’t
want the complexity of it all. But maybe that’s just be me. Simplify, simplify.

Larger JE businesses are often corporations. That’s because there are multiple
employees who may make mistakes. You don’t want to be liable for someone else’s
mistakes. So if you grow your business, and decide to incorporate, then it might well be
worth it.

Step 2: Choosing the Right Business Name.

Names are important. And you want your business name to be
catchy, memorable, and very simple. Oh, and professional sounding
too. Ah! And one more thing—it should be easy to spell. And, I just
thought of something else: Keep it to 2 words max, if possible.

My all-time favorite business name for the JE business is: “Finders
Keepers.” Who can forget it? And it meets all the other criteria.

I also like a name with “Solutions” in it.

• First Solutions
• 1 2 3 Solutions
• Northwest Solutions
• Ready Solutions
• MCC Solutions (I don’t know what MCC is, and don’t much care.)

A JD of mine had two businesses with interesting names:

• Future Interests
• Einstein Enterprises

Your business name is your “brand.” Give some time and lots of thought to it.
