Judgment Enforcement – The Step-by-Step Course



                        Tip:  Business phone lines usually cost more to call out on than personal lines.
                        So, I have a two-line phone machine that has both my business and personal lines
                        on it. I use my personal line to make outgoing calls (free), and people call me on
                        my business line (free too). —No cost per call for me.

                        Also, Google now has “Google Voice” where you can get a FREE phone number
                        in whatever area code you choose. And, if that becomes your business number,
                        you can have the calls forwarded to each of your personal phones so they will
                        reach you wherever you are—at the sitter’s or Home Depot. That’s what I do.
                        Quite a convenience. And free is good.


                        A fax is also important. But you probably don’t want to have to pay for a 3rd phone

                    line. I don’t blame you. I use an online service called Ureach.  Go to Ureach.com. For
                    about $9.99 I get an 800# that looks professional and provides me with a fax line so I don’t
                    have to get another phone line or have another machine on my desk. When there is a fax
                    for you, Ureach lets you know via email. You can then go on line to view it or print it out
                    or save it. Also, you can access your faxes from any computer with Internet access,
                    anywhere. For people who misplace paperwork (such as me), it’s doubly handy because
                    when I lose a fax, I can go back to Ureach.com and get another copy.

                       Ureach also has other business accessories, such as a business calendar, call forwarding,
                    and file storing. There are other outfits that offer some of the same services, maybe for
                    less. Three of them are Efax.com, Kall8.com, and GreenFax.com. Shop around.  See

                    what fits you best. Make your office as efficient as possible. It’s going to become your
                    home, and you want it to be comfortable.

                        SCANNERS:  I didn’t have a good one until 4 years into the business. When I got one
                    –a Fujitsu ScanSnap – I was amazed at how much paper I could dispense with and how
                    easily I could carry my whole office with me.  It wasn’t cheap, but it was really (really)
                    worth it. And fast, if it’s not a 3 in 1 type.


                                     Step 7: Getting Your Business Cards and Stationary


                       I have never purchased stationery with my business name on it. My printer does a
                    superior job. I just make sure the stationery paper is of pretty fair quality when I mail out a
                    letter.
