What came before in this Course leads up to this one—How to
effectively enforce a judgment and get your 50%. Fortunately for us, the
laws are on our side. They are the tools we use in our business.
So when the debtor has assets but refuses to pay the judgment, these laws help us

bypass the JD’s unwillingness to pay, so that justice will prevail. What are these tools? I’ll
put them in three categories. But first, let’s take a look at Community Property Laws.

Step 1: Are You in a Community Property State

Nine states are “Community Property” states.
