THE RACING TIMES
FTP INFORMATION

FTP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download FTP Client
We recommend using FileZilla FTP Client (It’s a free program and you can download it at
https://filezilla-project.org/
2. On Your Desktop
Make a folder and make it (Your Name) Photos (Example Alan Piquette Photos) Put the photos that you’re going to
send to The Racing Times into the folder.
3. Open FTP Client
In the FTP Client use the following information HOST: theracingtimes2.com, USERNAME:
upload@theracingtimes2.com, PASSWORD: racetrack2016. Then Press Connect.
Once Connected to the FTP (The Racing Times)
Before setting up contact us by either phone (203-528-77720 or E-Mail ftp@theracingtimes.net and we will set up
a folder with your name on it.
Once connected you’ll see your desktop on the left hand side and Our Site on the right hand side. On the right
hand side you’ll find your folder that we made.
All you need to do is grab the folder on your computer (Left hand side) and drag it over to your folder on the right
hand side. To drag just click and hold with your mouse and slide it over to your fold. Once you drag it over and
you on your folder release the mouse and you’ll see the pictures moving into our folder.
4. Once we receive your pictures
Once the transaction id finished you’ll get a message that the files transferred successfully. After that clear your
folder on your desktop. We don’t want you to send duplicate pictures the next time around so it’s important to empty
out your folder. We will then Watermark the pictures with The Racing Times Logo Watermark and put it up on our
Smug Mug Account that will have your Name / Year / Race Name (Example Alan Piquette Folder 2018 Race Name
