Compensation Questionnaire
• “Compensation is our most valuable client giveback
• Please read off the list of job functions for the client to choose from
• If the client chooses “Other”, please probe for his/her job function. It is very important that you ask for job
function rather than job title (i.e. Head Trader vs. Managing Director).
• Even if client is unwilling to provide salary/bonus information, be sure to collect as much of the other
data as possible all of the data is valuable
• A great follow up tactic is to send the questionnaire in excel so the buy side client can respond in private
• Please do not paraphrase data only as good as what we collect
