Tokyo, being the capital city of Japan, is the most popular cultural
hub and an international trendsetter in the arts, and media. It is
near the boundary of three plates, making it an extremely active
region for smaller quakes and slippage which frequently affect the
urban area. Tokyo is blessed with a humid subtropical climate zone.
Architecture in Tokyo has largely been shaped, the metropolis has
left in ruins, first in the 1923 Great Kanto earthquake and later
after extensive firebombing in World War II.
Due to this, Tokyo’s urban landscape consists mainly of
contemporary and modern architecture, where old buildings are
scarce. Tokyo also contains numerous parks and gardens. The city
lets you explore not only shrines, but neon-lit streets, and bustling
crossroads.
One can explore Hillside Terrace in Daikanyama, a hidden gem
where modernity and comfort combine a perfect harmony and
enjoy the open-air cafes and coffee-roasters. One can also choose
to take a walk to Ueno Park under the blooming cherry blossoms.
