C O N C E P T
Nagareyama Ootakanomori is an interchange railway station in Chiba, Japan.
Ootakananori means “a lot of forests”.
The client brief was to create an open space consisting of street furniture and
landscape. All street furniture are constructed from wood and keeping the budget
in mind, low cost.
The essence of the plan is the lively activities of children, families and local
people. Street furniture and landscape are tools that initialize activities. Each and
every street furniture place in the open space require a unity in terms of form.
The initial design development consists of linear approach towards design, was to
be found suitable. The site planning is based on the open spaces and low cost
budget.
