Department of Mathematics & Statistics

Department of Mathematics and Statistics was established in 2011 with an objective of offering world-class education and
good research environment. The department strives for balance between teaching, research and student development.
Department of Mathematics and Statistics with qualified and committed faculty members provides quality education to
promote research activities in core and allied areas of Mathematics and Statistics. The Department enables students to
excel in the areas of pure as well as applied Mathematics and Statistics. The students showcase their talent by developing
several working models/posters and presenting them in various prestigious national and international events.

Undergraduate - B.Sc., (Hons) Mathematics, Postgraduate- M.Sc., Mathematics, Ph. D
In addition, it also offers courses for B.Tech., BBA, BCA, B.Com., B.Sc. (Bio-Tech., Chemistry, Physics), M.Sc. (Bio-Tech.,
Chemistry), M.Tech. programmes. The major research areas of the department are: Fluid Dynamics, Special Functions,
Fractional Calculus, Integral Transforms, Relativity, Ring Theory, Reliability Theory, Stochastic Process, Theory of Sample
Surveys, Information Theory, Inventory Control, Operations Research, Mathematical Modeling, Topology and Functional
Analysis.
