Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology, Manipal University Jaipur was established in 2012. It offers under-graduate,
post-graduate and Ph.D. programs in psychology. The department aims to nurture the potential in every
student by providing him/her strong foundation in various areas of psychology. The strong theoretical
foundation is complemented with focus on developing applied practical skills in students enabling them to
excel at professional and personal levels.

A well-equipped laboratory is a very essential part of any psychology department. The department has two
well-equipped laboratories for both psychological testing and experimentation. The lab consists of
instruments and tests to study human cognition, intelligence, personality, aptitude attitude, disorders etc.
Latest psychological tools like WAIS-IV, MMPI-II, MMCI-III, NEO-PI, Raven’s Standard Progressive Matrices,
WASI-II, etc. are present in the lab. The psychological apparatus like biofeedback, memory drum, mirror-
drawing apparatus are also available.

Regular field visits, workshops and guest lectures are organized to give the varied exposure to the students.
The department also organizes various events like ‘mental health week’ on an annual basis to spread
awareness of mental health issues amongst the students of the university.

The department has qualified and experienced faculty members. All the faculty members are doctorates
from reputed institutions.
