Department of Computer Applications

Computer Applications Programme has been running in MUJ since its inception, 2011. This department
was part of Information Technology department till March 2019. Since March 2019, this department
has been functioning as independent department in MUJ. Department of Computer Applications offers
two courses Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
The department prepares students to design, develop and implement software applications and
emphasizes on the latest programming languages, cutting edge technologies and tools to make
students ready for the IT industry. The department encourages students for the project based learning.
The department has very competent cell dedicated to placements. We have set high standards of
placements. Our students are placed in IT industry giants like E&Y, SAP labs, Deloitte, Infosys,
Convergence, Concentrix, Atmax. Many of our students are also pursuing higher studies in various
reputed institutes within and outside the country. Students are also encouraged to participate in
various events curricular (various coding events) as well as extra curricular(sports) to ensure their
holistic development.
The department has collaboration with many globally recognized certifications in various
specializations like Microsoft, Cisco, EC-Council, SAP, Dell and VMware etc. They are offering their
programmes and certifications to the students of the department with substantial discounts.
The department has three research groups Network & Security, Data Science and Cloud Computing.
