BANDTAIL PUFFER (Sphoeroides spengleri) < 30 cm / 1 ft istincti e ro of lac s ots runs from the chin ac to the tail. Pale underbelly. The tail has two black bars.
SHARPNOSE PUFFER (Canthigaster rostrata) < 12 cm / 4.5 in
Dark upper body and a pale belly. Bright blue lines on snout and radiating from the eyes. Tail has black borders.
SOUTHERN PUFFER (Sphoeroides nephelus) < 30 cm / 1 ft
od co ered in numerous small hite s ots and dar blotches. Dark bar between the eyes. Darker bar on tail.
CHECKERED PUFFER (Sphoeroides testudineus) < 30 cm / 1 ft Pale body with numerous darker patches. White belly. Bright orange eyes. Found in shallow sandy areas.
