E-2 Non-Immigrant Investor
• This visa is designed to allow non-immigrant investors to live and work in the U.S. based on a qualifying investment
• Requires E-2 treaty between U.S. and home country
• Visa allows investors or their managers or essential employees to work in the U.S.
• Investor or employee must be citizen of country with E-2 Treaty
• U.S. company must be at least 50% owned by foreign nationals or company with nationality from the treaty country
• Investment must be substantial ‒ $150K minimum but varies based on the needs of the company
