The box of blocks
- It was the beginning of a bigger move from symmetry that
was used within the building that was later developed in
1902 by Frank Loyd Wright in which he freed up the plan of
the building in a he Hevntley house located in Oak Park,
Illinois.
- The result was a simple yet classic wooden shape such as a
block, a cube, or a box that got designed and developed
through inverting forms which then got integrated within
the buildings.
- A good example is a fireplace in which the inside becomes a
family gathering space in the middle of the household
surrounded by the other spaces.
