Endothermic Reaction
ENDOTHERMIC REACTION: Process that absorbs (takes in) heat During endothermic reactions:
1. The substance takes in energy (heat), so it becomes warmer.
2. This heating can cause a phase change from solid to liquid or liquid to gas.
3. Chemical bonds break.
4.Surroundings get cooler because the
matter “stole” the heat.
