Mole-Mole Problems
This is how the question will appear: How many moles of one molecule are needed to react with a (given) number of moles of another molecule?
How to solve:
1. Cross out any molecule that is not applicable to the question.
2. Set up a proportion:
Coefficient: Write the coefficient. If there’s no number in front of the molecule, the coefficient is one.
Moles: Write the number of moles.
Place an ‘X’ at the location of the unknown value. 3. Solve the proportion with cross multiplication.
This is how you can solve any proportion question. (How many ‘X’ to how many ‘X’). There are many Regents questions on this topic.
