ATOM: the smallest part of an element
About the atom:
• An atom is mostly empty space.
• Atoms of the same element are similar.
• Atoms of different elements are different.
The atom is made up of three SUBATOMIC PARTS: Smaller parts of the atom:
1. Protons
2. Neutrons
3. Electrons
