Anode and Cathode
• ANODE: The electrode at which oxidation takes place
• CATHODE: The electrode where reduction takes place
Anox – Anode oxidation. Oxidation takes place in the anode.
VAN – Voltaic anode negative. In a voltaic cell, the anode has a negative charge.
Red cat – Reduction cathode. Reduction takes place in the cathode.
