   Electroplating Process Example
   1. Place a spoon (cathode) in a solution of AgNO3, which is solution of salt and silver ions. Place a bar of silver (anode) inside the solution too.
2. The anode (silver) will undergo oxidation (an ox). Ag0 Ag+1 + e-
3. The Ag+ goes into the solution and gets attracted to the negative cathode (the spoon).
4.Ag+ now undergoes reduction at the spoon and plates it. Ag+1 + e- Ag0
5. The anode (silver bar) keeps shrinking (it’s giving itself away to the spoon). The cathode (spoon) is growing (it’s getting coated with the silver).
