            Conestoga’s new research facility in the Gaslight District will deliver solutions that today’s
            manufacturing businesses need to stay competitive in a rapidly changing world.



           For more than 50 years, Conestoga College has delivered career-focused education and training programs
           across Waterloo Wellington to address the workforce needs of our region.

           Since then, more than 120,000 Conestoga graduates have developed the skills and knowledge to launch careers
           and businesses and build successful futures for themselves, their families, their employers and the community
           we share.

           But Conestoga delivers more than education and training programs. It is also ranked among Canada’s top 25
           research colleges. More than 2,000 students and over 165 faculty and staff were engaged in research projects in
           2016-17, developing solutions to real-world industry challenges and supporting local businesses in their efforts to
           innovate and improve their products and processes.

           Support for applied research at Conestoga is provided through national and provincial funding bodies such as
           the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research
           and Ontario Centres of Excellence.

           Industry partners include a growing range of companies, from small enterprises to global leaders, including
           Fusion Cast, Industrial Cyber Sensing, and Greentec International.

           In the summer of 2018, Conestoga will open a new applied research    SMART MANUFACTURING
           facility at 96 Grand in Cambridge’s Gaslight District.

           Focused on the development of innovation technology solutions to
           enhance productivity and address industry challenges, the Applied    E-WASTE RECYCLING
           Research Hub will help drive business growth and economic
           development in Cambridge and across our region.
