WHEN YOU LET GO OF ENVY, YOU LET GO OF IGNORANCE
Not long ago, one of my clients brought her mother to hear me speak at a workshop on goal achievement. She felt certain that if her mom heard what I had to say about abundance and wealth consciousness, the older woman would let go of her fears about money and start seeing how she could generate riches in her life. After my talk, my client's mother turned to her and said, "Peggy is just wonderful. I envy her. She's really one of those special, chosen people. No wonder she's a success."
When my client told me this story, I was surprised. I don't believe for a minute that my own prosperity is the result of my being "special" or "lucky." I was born with wealth and value, just as everyone else is, but I wasn't singled out by the Universe as one of the "rare few" who deserve success. The reason I'm wealthy is that I'm willing to regularly create positive feelings that fuel my ability to build upon the abundance I have.
Every day, I choose to create a feeling of gratitude and notice and value all that I possess already. I maintain faith in my ability to retain the wealth I have and also to manifest even more riches. I create enthusiasm, which gives me the energy to work hard-as well as curiosity, which helps me explore all the possibilities for wealth creation that are available to me. I trust that the Universe is always giving ... not just to other people, but to me. My job is to be open to its gifts and to receive them with gratitude, grace, and enthusiasm.
