We are happy to welcome you to Bingham Memorial Hospital, and we are delighted that you have decided to work with us!
Today’s new employee orientation will help you gain a better understanding of Bingham Memorial Hospital. You will be receiving important information about our mission, vision, core values, hospital policies, healthcare benefits, safety policies, organizational structure, and
why we believe that the entire community benefits when the people within it are physically, mentally and spiritually healthy. This will be an ideal time to ask any questions you have and to ensure you will be able to successfully settle into your new role.
Bingham Memorial Hospital opened its doors with six doctors on August 19, 1950. Today, we are a state-of-the-art, 501(c)(3) non-profit critical access hospital governed by a local Board of Directors. We have assembled the finest medical staff of more than 140 physicians from throughout the country and employ more than 750 people throughout eastern Idaho. The Bingham Memorial Family consists of a dedicated team of individuals—from physicians, nurses, therapists, engi-neers, and food service workers to volunteers and administrators.
For the past 65 years, we have been taking healthcare to the next level, our staff and our affili- ates have been working hard every day of the year to provide high-quality healthcare services in a caring and compassionate manner. As a leading and award-winning healthcare provider, we offer more than 100 types of patient services. We also have a nationally recognized bariatric program, the largest orthopedic program in eastern Idaho, a comprehensive dialysis program, and the first center west of the Mississippi River to bring functional medicine and the treatment of autoim-mune diseases to a hospital setting.
You are now a part of something great, something bigger than yourself. As a new employee, you will be an integral part of how smoothly our facilities operate and the care our patients and guests receive while they are here. Please know that the work you do on a daily basis contributes in some way to saving lives, decreasing suffering, and calming weary hearts.
